Nicole: Brian, Thank you sooooo much for the great pictures. It was so nice of you to spend so much time with us and being so flexible in listening to our ideas.....you are great and I am so happy!!!! Thank you!!!

Here are some selected images from the wedding of Beth & Kevin on the campus of the University of Notre Dame at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. This wedding was a load of fun. Not only did they have a gorgeous ceremony  at the Basilica, but they were lucky and got access to the football stadium for some field shots. They were then surprised being given access to the President’s Box, a view of the stadium and Notre Dame few see. The reception followed at the Morris Park Country Club.

This is probably my favorite picture that I took during the day. It was a spur of the moment thought having them leaning against the goal post.

The only trouble with photographing in public, you can’t control the people wandering in the background. The goal of this image was to get the golden dome above their heads.

Aww, love this picture.

All day the flower girls mugged for the camera anytime it was around. Not this time. But Beth’s smile just brightens up the scene!

Now we are into Greg’s images. Have you ever seen a happier bride walking down the aisle in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart!

Erin & Adam

July 17, 2009

I have a lot of updating to do, really a lot. But in the meantime, I thought I’d post a few of my favorites from our last wedding. Erin and Adam were married at the New Life Baptist Church in Osceola with a reception following at the Palais Royale. Allure Films and Photography provided the photo and film services. Here are 3 sneak peaks of what is coming.

You and you guests will have  a fun time reliving memories of mugging for the camera in our Candid Photo Booth! Like traditional photo booths our booth shoots 4 continous pictres and prints them instantly out as a strip which can be shared with friends. But our photo booth goes beyond the traditional as all pictures shot are played back in a live, continously updated montage for everyone to see all the crazy, wacky posses going on inside. All photos are stored digitally and can be provided to the bride and grooms on CD.

Take your party to the next level and introduce a hint of nostalgia with a fun and exciting Candid Photo Booth!

Fantastic song

April 13, 2009

mike_schmidI am a strong believer in supporting the indie artists. In my opinion sticking a top 40 hit song that is on the charts at the time of the edit in a video or photo montage badly dates the video. So when left up to my own devices I go looking for either instrumental soundtracks or artists that are not known for their top 40 hits. I have found a fantastic song, To Show You My Love by Mike Schmid. A fantastic singer and a wonderful heartfelt song.

This would also make a fantastic first dance song.

Christine Denison and Brian Diss, March 21, 2009
Christine and Brian were married on a beautiful March day. The wedding took place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame. The reception followed at the beautiful Gillespie Center in the Hilton Garden Inn.

The song in this trailer is Looking At The Sun by Gramercy Arms.

Hilton Garden Inn

March 25, 2009

March 21, 20098 the Gellespie Conference Center ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn was turned into a fantasy land for the wedding of Christine and Brian. Cynthia Basker of Celebrated Events was the wedding coordinator and designer of this fantastic setting which was brought to life by Michaelangelos The Event Company. We were the wedding cinematographers for this event, but the Hilton hired me to shoot some photos for them to use as promotional material. Below are a few of my favorite images.

Our first wedding video production of the the year, was a fantastic affair! Event with my background as a disc jockey I love bands, there is no energy like a live band and The Dennis Keith Experience rocked the Palais Royale like few can.

About this wedding trailer. You will notice if you have watched any of our previous wedding trailers that I will use prerecorded songs. I am always looking for something unique and not just the standard sappy wedding song when creating these wedding trailers. I also like finding an audio hook from the day to incorporate into the wedding trailer so that the viewer is transported to the day with more than just visuals. For my all time favorite (so far) wedding trailer it was the phenomenal homily that the priest delivered about love, that became the day’s audio hook. For the wedding trailer for Kate & Brian the day’s audio hook and the song converged into one. Half way through the first dance song grandma joined in the rendition of That’s Why They Call It The Blues.

The song presented one problem, their grandma joined in half way through and during the time period when she worked her way up to the stage, there isn’t much happening, the band is playing but the lead singer is coaching grandma to the stage. So I had to join the earlier vocals with the later and excise the talking.

Enjoy!

University of Notre Dame Basilica

If you are a Notre Dame University graduate or a member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart Church on the campus the day when the books are opened for 2010 weddings is around the corner.  March 2nd is the day when you can schedule your 2010 wedding. Our friend Cynthia Basker of Celebrated Events has written a blog for brides and grooms how to assure that you are able to schedule your wedding at the Basilica. It’s full of very useful information and I suggest if you are planning to have your wedding at Notre Dame check it out!
