Erin & Adam

July 17, 2009

I have a lot of updating to do, really a lot. But in the meantime, I thought I’d post a few of my favorites from our last wedding. Erin and Adam were married at the New Life Baptist Church in Osceola with a reception following at the Palais Royale. Allure Films and Photography provided the photo and film services. Here are 3 sneak peaks of what is coming.

Hilton Garden Inn

March 21, 20098 the Gellespie Conference Center ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn was turned into a fantasy land for the wedding of Christine and Brian. Cynthia Basker of Celebrated Events was the wedding coordinator and designer of this fantastic setting which was brought to life by Michaelangelos The Event Company. We were the wedding cinematographers for this event, but the Hilton hired me to shoot some photos for them to use as promotional material. Below are a few of my favorite images.

Jared & Meg

wedding photography

Jared and Meg were married in the Carribean and returned to the states for an informal wedding reception at the parents. We had the honor of photographing the reception.

I had my camera sensor cleaned this weak. Digital to me is the best thing to happen to photography in the last hundred years, but if dust gets on your sensor it’s a nightmare. So it came back and I decided to test it out wandering around the lakes on the campus of Notre Dame. I was walking by the Basilica of the Sacred Heart when a little inspiration struck me. I love shooting dutch angles and I have done several upward shots on video and film from the front of the Basilica, when a little inspiration hit me. Why not include the sign!

So here are my three favorite shots of the Basilica from today’s wandering. Which do you like the best?

Palais Royale

March 24, 2008

One of the most elegant wedding reception banquet halls in South Bend is the Palais Royale. Originally opened in 1922, in fact my parent’s had their prom there, the Palais Royale features a beautiful chandelier that will take your breath away and art deco details that you aren’t going to find in modern buildings. You can’t take a bad photograph in the Palais Royale!

I was digging through the archives today when I ran across this wedding photograph of the first dance in the Palais Royale. What a magnificient reception hall.

The Swathwood wedding took place at St Thomas Church in Elkhart and the reception was at The Century Center in South Bend. They had a lovely wedding and reception culminating in fireworks off of the island at Century Center. Greg did the photography and I did the cinematography for the Swathwoods.

There is a lot of images in this gallery so it will take a minute or two to load. Please be patient.

Check out individual photos on the gallery page.

Some more Wedding Photographs

I’m presently digging through Greg’s work from last year trying to get a couple of galleries put together for our photography pages. It’s a lot of work. So to tide over until the galleries are done, here are a few photographs from a wedding last summer in Mishawaka. Enjoy!
