I have a lot of updating to do, really a lot. But in the meantime, I thought I’d post a few of my favorites from our last wedding. Erin and Adam were married at the New Life Baptist Church in Osceola with a reception following at the Palais Royale. Allure Films and Photography provided the photo and film services. Here are 3 sneak peaks of what is coming.
Our first wedding video production of the the year, was a fantastic affair! Event with my background as a disc jockey I love bands, there is no energy like a live band and The Dennis Keith Experience rocked the Palais Royale like few can.
About this wedding trailer. You will notice if you have watched any of our previous wedding trailers that I will use prerecorded songs. I am always looking for something unique and not just the standard sappy wedding song when creating these wedding trailers. I also like finding an audio hook from the day to incorporate into the wedding trailer so that the viewer is transported to the day with more than just visuals. For my all time favorite (so far) wedding trailer it was the phenomenal homily that the priest delivered about love, that became the day’s audio hook. For the wedding trailer for Kate & Brian the day’s audio hook and the song converged into one. Half way through the first dance song grandma joined in the rendition of That’s Why They Call It The Blues.
The song presented one problem, their grandma joined in half way through and during the time period when she worked her way up to the stage, there isn’t much happening, the band is playing but the lead singer is coaching grandma to the stage. So I had to join the earlier vocals with the later and excise the talking.
Katie and Hamish had a beautiful wedding at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame University. Their reception followed at the Palais Royale. This is one of my favorite wedding trailers so far. Enjoy!

One of the most elegant wedding reception banquet halls in South Bend is the Palais Royale. Originally opened in 1922, in fact my parent’s had their prom there, the Palais Royale features a beautiful chandelier that will take your breath away and art deco details that you aren’t going to find in modern buildings. You can’t take a bad photograph in the Palais Royale!
I was digging through the archives today when I ran across this wedding photograph of the first dance in the Palais Royale. What a magnificient reception hall.
